Las Palmas, Canary Islands, Spain (PortSEurope) July 11, 2019 – Autoridad Portuaria de Las Palmas (APP – Port Authority of Las Palmas) is to issue a tender for a contract for the prevention and fight against pollution of the waters around the port of Arrecife, with a budget of €418,080.
Interested companies have until August 30, 2019 to submit offers.
The service consists of the integrated management of prevention work, through surveillance and control so that any pollution incident can be detected early.
For this purpose, the awardee must carry out daily navigation routes, with any of the appropriate vessels available to the service, through all the port waters of the maritime service area, following the schedule and guidelines established by the Contract Manager appointed by APP.
The service consists of the immediate intervention of the awardee, with all the material and human resources offered, as well as those provided by the APLP, once the spill has been identified over the waters of the Port, or in those cases of activation of the Interior Maritime Plan (PIM), or other contingency plans susceptible to produce pollution in the waters of the Port.
The Port Authority may extend the area of water that is the object of the contract when, due to the completion of maritime infrastructure works, reversion of the water surface, modification of the Delimitation of Spaces and Uses of the Port (DEUP), or other reasons, it deems necessary.
