Valencia, Spain (PortSEurope) June 19, 2019 – The “Ports 4.0 Insomnia Tech Summit ’19” forum will take place in Valencia on June 27, organised by Puertos del Estado, KPMG and the Hub of Innovation specialized in the acceleration and incubation of technology-based projects: Insomnia.
During the forum, which will take place at the Insomnia headquarters in Valencia, José Llorca, director of innovation at Puertos del Estado, will present the Innovation Fund 4.0, an open initiative for the port ecosystem and promoted by Puertos del Estado in collaboration with the port authorities.
Also there will be the “Tradetech, transversal engine of the digitalization of the economy” discussion, which involves Aurelio Martinez, president of Autoridad Portuaria de Valencia (APV – Valenciaport, Port Authority of Valencia); José Llorca; Joaquim Martínez, managing director of Consulting of KPMG Innova Valley and Rafael Navarro, partner co-founder of Insomnia as moderator.
The Puertos del Estado Ports 4.0 fund is an inter-port compensation fund aimed at actively promoting and incorporating disruptive innovation as an element of competitiveness in the Spanish public and private logistics port sector. The fund is endowed with €25 million. For its activation, the support office and the creation of the corporate incubator or accelerator have been awarded to a UTE formed by KPMG and Insomnia, the innovation hub of Valencia. This UTE will have presence in 12 ports of general interest of the country.
