
Representatives of Turkmenistan and international organizations discuss issues of transport cooperation

On March 11, 2021, a meeting was held via videoconferencing between the representatives of Turkmenistan and international organizations on the issues of international transport cooperation – March 11, 2021 The meeting was attended by the heads and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, Ministry of Finance and Economy, as well as the state agencies of Turkmenistan specializing
on transport. The representatives of relevant UN agencies, including the UNDP, UNECE, ESCAP, as well as a number of international financial institutions also took part in the meeting. The participants of the session exchanged views on strengthening transport cooperation, including the facilitation and harmonization of the procedures of crossing the borders. The participants of the meeting viewed the recommendations prepared upon the outcomes of the expert meetings held on February 19 and 22 of current year concerning the carrying out of safe from the sanitary-epidemiological point of view experimental transit-transport caravans, development of Turkmenbashy International Seaport and the digitalization of the transport sector of the country in general.
