Russian seaports see cargo turnover of the in January-August 2021 up +1.6%

Moscow, Russia (PortSEurope) October 13, 2021 – Cargo turnover of the seaports of Russia in January-August 2021 was 552.8 million tons, up by 1.6% compared to the same period last year. The figures were reported by the Association of Commercial Sea Ports of the Russian Federation (ASOP). Dry cargo transshipment amounted to 274.2 million tons (+5.8%), including: coal – 137.4 million tons (+13.8%), cargo in
containers – 40.5 million tons (+7.0 %), grain – 26.4 million tons (-6.7%), ferrous metals – 19.4 million tons (+6.6%), mineral fertilizers – 12.1 million tons (-4.9%), ore – 7.6 million tons (-11.9%). Liquid cargo transshipment amounted to 278.6 million tons (-2.2%), including crude oil – 154.9 million tons (-5.1%), oil products – 99.4 million tons (+3.4% ), liquefied gas – 20.9 million tons (-3.0%), food cargo – 2.7 million tons (-14.8%). Export cargo handled 439.6 million tons (+3.0%), import cargo – 26.6 million tons (+11.4%), transit cargo – 41.8 million tons (-0.5%), coastal cargo – 44.8 million tons (-12.4%). Cargo of the seaports of the Azov-Black Sea basin amounted to 169.9 million tons (+3.8%), of which the volume of dry cargo transshipment amounted to 74.9 million tons (+9.5%), liquid cargo – 95.0 million tons (-0.3%). The cargo turnover of the ports of Novorossiysk amounted to 93.7 million tons (-0.6%), Taman – 23.1 million tons (an increase of 1.7 times), Tuapse – 17.7 million tons (+0.2%), Rostov- on-Don – 10.5 million tons (-5.1%), Caucasus – 11.4 million tons (-17.2%). The cargo turnover of the seaports of the Caspian basin amounted to 4.8 million tons (-13.7%), of which the volume of dry cargo transshipment amounted to 1.6 million tons (-31.9%), liquid cargo – 3.2 million tons (-0 , 3%). The volume of cargo transshipment at the ports of Makhachkala decreased to 3.0 million tons (-14.5%), Astrakhan to 1.6 million tons (-2.3%). Cargo of the seaports of the Arctic Basin amounted to 62.5 million tons (-1.9%), of which the volume of dry cargo transshipment amounted to 19.3 million tons (+ 1.1%), liquid cargo – 43.2 million tons (-3 , 2%). The cargo turnover of the ports of Murmansk amounted to 37.0 million tons (-0.6%), Sabetta – 18.0 million tons (-2.5%), Varandey – 3.1 million tons (-10.0%) and Arkhangelsk – 2.1 million tons (-1.4%). Cargo turnover of the seaports of the Baltic basin was 165.6 million tons (+1.6%), of which the volume of dry cargo transshipment amounted to 78.0 million tons (+ 7.2%), liquid cargo – 87.6 million tons (-2.9%). The cargo turnover of the ports of Ust-Luga amounted to 52.9 million tons (-1.7%), the Big Port of St. Petersburg – 30.6 million tons (+2.6%), Primorsk – 26.1 million tons (-11.5 %), Vysotsk – 8.4 million tons (-6.4%). The cargo turnover of the seaports of the Far Eastern Basin amounted to 150.0 million tons (+ 1.3%), of which the volume of dry cargo transshipment amounted to 100.4 million tons (+ 4.1%), liquid cargo – 49.6 million tons (-4 , 0%). The cargo turnover of the ports of Vostochny amounted to 50.6 million tons (-2.6%), Vanino – 24.3 million tons (+ 11.5%), Vladivostok – 19.5 million tons (+ 23.7%), Nakhodka – 18 , 3 million tons (+ 0.6%), Prigorodnoye – 9.2 million tons (-14.2%), De-Kastri – 7.9 million tons (-10.5%).
