Santander, Spain (PortSEurope) January 5, 2018 – Santander port authority (Autoridad Portuaria de Santander) president Jaime González has said he expects the harbour’s cargo traffic to rise by about 15% in 2018.
He expressed his satisfaction with the results obtained in 2017 and said he hopes there will be no delays in the infrastructure works envisaged for this year.
In statements to journalists, González said that 2017 has been “closed happily” in terms of industrial activity, profitability and economic performance, diversification of activity and progress in the planning of integration of the seafront in the city.
But, “above all”, in the processing of new projects for the improvement of the infrastructure of the port, which, according to González, are “absolutely necessary” to be carried out in 2018.
