Bilbao, Spain (PortSEurope) November 20, 2020 – The Arasur (Araba Logística, S.A) logistics platform began 2020 with the inauguration of the largest photovoltaic park powered by Ekian and Sibport is to manage the facility’s rail operations. Arasur siding will connect the logistics platform with the port by means of a shuttle train that will transport the goods by rail from bidirectional way. The overall investment by the port is over €4 million. “We have high hopes with the launch of the terminal, because many companies are waiting for it “, says the president of Arasur, Peio Ruiz. In fact, this connection was one of the most requested by operators because it also means achieving 100% intermodality for the logistics platform. In order to adapt to the demand of companies, Arasur has started a urban reorganization that will allow it to position itself in the market for host large projects. “Today, there is only Arasur for any company that needs 200,000 m² of land in the north of Spain”, points out Ruiz.
