SMM Group of Companies delivers the Vityaz portal crane to PJSC Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port

Novorossiysk, Russia (PortSEurope) May 4, 2021 – The new Vityaz is the 31st portal crane manufactured and commissioned in the port, reports manufacturer ZAO SMM. The crane is a universal handling equipment and is designed for transshipment of general and bulk cargo, in particular, the shipment of finished metal products to ships – slabs, sheets and other rolled metal products from the wagon.  The maximum lifting
capacity of the crane in hook mode is 63 tons and the maximum boom reach is 40 meters.  The first Vityaz portal crane was delivered to the port in 2009. For 12 years now, SMM lifting equipment has been successfully operated in the port of Novorossiysk and proves its high performance and reliability.
