Motril, Spain (PortSEurope) June 25, 2019 – Spanish consignee and stowage company J. Ronco y Cía Sociedad Limitada, belonging to the Ership group, has acquired a 5.5% stake in the share capital of Motrilport, the promotion and marketing company of the port of Motril.
Representatives of the consignee company will join the board of directors of Motrilport. The agreement was ratified in the course of the last board meeting of Motrilport and in the subsequent general shareholders meeting.
The president of Motrilport and the port authority, José García Fuentes, said that “progress is being made in the goal of bringing together the largest number of companies in the port community around a single and better commercial promotion abroad to help increase port traffic and business activity”.
Ronco y Cía is present in the ports of Almería and Algeciras and has its own facilities in Motril port where it was granted a license to provide the service of cargo handling, as well as the export of parts for the construction of wind turbines.
