Suez, Egypt (PortSEurope) November 21, 2018 – Suez Canal Authority aims to focus its efforts into facilitating investments in Africa, the president of the Channel, Mohab Mamish, said.
“African markets need heavy equipment, and we see investments in the field of timber, chemicals, heavy equipment and agriculture,” Mamish noted.
The Suez Canal represents an indispensable infrastructure for global trade as it connects the Mediterranean to the Red Sea and this spurs investments in the area, while the channel itself has a capable team able to support investors, he added.
