Turkey: Total container handling statistics at Turkish ports in 2020

Istanbul, Turkey (PortSEurope) February 4, 2021 – The Turkish authorities have reported total container handling statistics (TEU) at its ports in 2020. January reported nearly 1 million TEU, with the next five months seeing reductions. From July, TEU numbers recovered. The highest number was 1.12 million TEU in October, with the year ending with 1.05 million TEU. The Covid-19 coronavirus crisis was the key factor
in the variance.
