Odessa, Ukraine (PortSEurope) September 11, 2019 – On September 11, 2019, the authorities of the Kherson region and Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) will initiate a meeting with representatives of business circles regarding the development of the port of Skadovsk.

With potential investors, the authorities will discuss the prospects for participation in the implementation of infrastructure projects in the port, and provide up-to-date information on the current performance indicators of the port, strategic plans for its further development, prospects of using the mechanism of public-private partnership (lease, concession, joint activity) for the implementation of investment projects. The meeting also provides an opportunity to discuss issues with the management of the region and the port that may affect the activities of private companies.

The meeting will be attended by the chairman of the Kherson Regional State Administration Yuri Gusev, USPA head Raivis Veckagans, the head of the Skadov branch of USPA, Alexander Kugut, and the director of Skadovsky MTP Alexander Litvinenko.

Skadovsk is a port city on the Black Sea in Kherson Oblast of southern Ukraine. It is situated 82 km southeast of the city of Kherson and 52 km from Kalanchak railway station (Kherson – Jankoy railway line). Skadovsk has food and construction industry enterprises. Skadovsk carries out mainly cargo/passenger and ferry carriages on the Turkish line and also quarrying and realization of beach sand, handling of grain cargo.
