Cádiz, Spain (PortSEurope) December 7, 2018 – Cádiz port handled 306 cruise ships and 399,823 passengers in the first eleven months of 2018.
In this way, the port marked a milestone in cruise traffic a month before the end of the year, since for the first time in the history the port exceeds the barrier of 300 calls.
A total of 16 cruise calls are scheduled for December and if the forecasts are met, the port will close 2018 with 322 cruises and approximately 415,000 passengers.
To date, the best passenger record was produced in 2015 with 411,455 tourists, while the maximum number of cruise calls was 296 in 2011 and 2013.
The strategic objective of the port is now focused on becoming a cruise port, the port authority said.
