Contract with Greenland’s Royal Greenland company for fourth factory ship from Bilbao port shipyard

The shipyard Murueta, part of Astilleros de Murueta S.A., has signed a contract with the shipowner Qaleralik (a part of Greenland’s Royal Greenland publicly owned group) for building ship number C-326, the fourth built by this shipyard for the shipping company – January 2, 2021 Construction will take 26 months, and it will be a highly technological and ecological fishing factory freezer ship, designed for
capturing, processing and freezing. Royal Greenland belongs to the Greenlandic Government and is one of the most important companies in the world in the commercialisation of marine products. This order comes an addition to others made in the last few years by companies based in Greenland, proof ofthe shipyard’s prestige. Astilleros de Murueta is a private industrial group with more than 75 years of activity, dedicated to the design and construction of all types of ships. It has two fully operational production facilities, the original Murueta shipyard in the Gernika estuary and the most recent Erandio shipyard in the Bilbao estuary. Source: Uniport Bilbao
