Piraeus, Greece (PortSEurope) October 24, 2019 – In September 2019, the overseas terminals of China’s COSCO Shipping Ports Limited saw container throughout increase by 13.3% to 2.295 million TEU, compared to 2.026 million TEU in the same period of 2018.

Individual European terminals throughput in August 2019:

  • Piraeus Container Terminal S.A. registered 419,300 TEU, compared to 379,000 in same period of 2018 (+10.6%).
  • Euromax Terminal Rotterdam B.V.; 197,700 TEU (247,900); -20.3%.
  • Suez Canal Container Terminal S.A.E.; 286,500 TEU (211,900); +35.2%.
  • Antwerp Gateway NV; 168,400 TEU (182,500); -9.7%.
  • Kumport Liman Hizmetleri ve Lojistik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş; 116,000 TEU (99,000); +17.2%.
  • Reefer Terminal S.p.A.; 4,500 TEU (5,400); -17.4%.
  • COSCO Shipping Ports (Spain) Terminals S.L.U.*; 262,900 TEU (303,200); -13.3%.
  • CSP Zeebrugge Terminal NV; 46,000 TEU (24,600); +87%.
