Istanbul, Turkey (PortSEurope) November 13, 2019 – The Swiss intermodal operator Hupac has started new rail connections between Turkey and the ports and intermodal centers of Western Europewith two rotations per week planned.
The services connect the Halkali Terminal in Istanbul with the northern European seaports of Antwerp and Rotterdam and with the inland river ports of Duisburg and Ludwigshaven via the Vienna Wiencont terminal in Vienna, which also has connections to Budapest, Hungary.
The network is completed by connections from Ludwigshafen to Schkopau and Schwarzheide, in Germany, and to Busto Arsizio (Milan), in Italy.
Hupac is a leading network operator in intermodal transport in Europe.
