Italy’s Council of State delays decision on legitimacy of La Spezia port decisions

La Spezia, Italy (PortSEurope) February 26, 2019 – Italy’s Council of State has decided to delay a decision on the legitimacy of acts of La Spezia port authority on infrastructure planning to December 19.
During the period, the Council of State plans to await the rulings of two pending appeals for compliance with sentences of administrative courts on the decision of the port to relocate the concessions of two companies, Scafi and Ads Pesca Sport La Palma, in order to open space for the development of container handling activities.
According to attorney Daniele Granara, the port should negotiate with the two companies, in order to come to a solution that is acceptable for both parties.
