Olbia, Sardinia, Italy (PortSEurope) June 12, 2019 – Autorita’ di Sistema Portuale del Mare di Sardegna (AdSP – Sardinian Sea Port Authority) plans to launch a tender for the operation of the passenger station of Olbia port next year.
The operator should invest €6 million ($6.8 million) in the overhaul of the passenger station and pay an annual concession fee of €1.9 million ($2.1 million) for a period of 20 years.
The project includes the redevelopment and management of the maritime station, construction of parking lots, restyling and reorganisation of the open areas.
“If we exclude Naples and its connections with the smaller islands, Olbia is the first Italian port for ferry passengers,” the president of the port authority, Massimo Deiana, said.
