Istanbul, Turkey (PortSEurope) February 11, 2019 – Yilport Holding’s terminals handled container traffic of 6.14 million TEUs in 2018, up 5%.
Moreover, the terminals of Yilport Holding serviced last year 11.86 million tonnes of conventional goods, 445,000 car-equivalent units (CEUs) of ro-ro traffic and 3.51 million m³ of liquid bulk.
Last year, the containerised traffic handled at the main Turkish port of the company, Gebze, was 554,000 TEUs, up 11%, while Gemlik port serviced 525,000 TEUs, also up 11%.
The traffic handled by the terminals in Latin America (in Puerto Bolivar and Paita) was 380,000 TEUs, up 23%. In Europe, namely in Oslo, Gävle and Stockholm, the traffic amounted to 474,000 TEUs, up 2%, while the traffic handled by the terminals managed by Yilport in the Spanish and Portuguese ports amounted to 661,000 TEUs, up 6%.
