Cádiz, Spain (PortSEurope) January 2, 2018 – Cádiz port authority (Autoridad Portuaria Bahía de Cádiz) plans to keep intact the tariffs for pilotage, towing and mooring in 2018, in order to increase the competitiveness of the harbour.
In fact, keeping the tariff unchanged will suppose a 1.6% cost reduction for companies active at the port, as the annual increase of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in 2017 was the same. Moreover, the port plans to introduce incentives for ships and floating repair platforms that choose Cádiz as a base port
The port also intends to apply a 40% bonus for container traffic, as it promised at the end of 2015 in a document aimed at increasing its competitiveness.
