Gijón, Spain (PortSEurope) May 25, 2018 – Gijón port has awarded the company TFP Getinsa Euroestudios SL the drafting of two projects for the paving of 10.8 hectares in the back esplanade of the European Bulk Handling Installation (EBHISA) solid bulk terminal, and for the adaptation of the Ingeniero Olano wharf for the handling of steel products.
The rear area of EBHISA that is going to be urbanised is one of the focal points of the coal clouds that originate in the port and cause concerns in the residents of the surrounding neighbourhoods, such as El Muselín.
Th plot, named P4, is unpaved, so its status is not optimal. The technical assistance for the drafting of the paving project for the plot has been awarded to TPF Getinsa for €41,925 ($48,862). The company and the port authority signed the contract on May 18. Now Getinsa has four months to deliver a draft plan for the project.
